Why do you keep asking why she's in a film or what her game plane is? She'a 65. If they offer her a role and its a good one I'm sure she takes it. This actually sounds like a good plot and role for her. Stop asking why she's in everything and be glad she works as often as she does.

It IS fascinating and unusual that an Oscar winning star seems in my opinion to take ANY and EVERY picture offered to her, regardless of it's budget/tone.

shareSeems to me she phoned it in, LITERALLY. Since her character spends the entire movie as a mass of writhing tentacles and a skull, only her voice is really in the picture -- and a brief photo on a computer monitor that looks 20 years old.
This is less than a cameo appearance...still it's a WTF? moment in the credits.

that's the exact same thing i thought right after i saw her in this. like why would she be in a super small movie like this? i mean, this is such a cheap and bad movie. this is one of those bad b movies that is just a little bit better than a typical b movie. it feels like a '90s sci fi b movie.
