Mischa Barton's accent

If Mischa Barton was born and raised in England, why does it sound like she's faking her accent? Is she just that bad an actress?

If we all liked the same movie, there'd only be one movie!

Yeah I didnt think she sounded english at all, just 'posh' if that makes sense.
I thought she sounded completely american, especailly when she got 'upset' or 'yelled' etc and so did a lot of the actors I think...

The aussie guy sounded very aussie at one point etc.

Really didn't think the director much cared on this point. The whole movie was just sensationalist light porn, in my honest opinion. So why would you care about something like accents and acting ability, when thats all your trying to make!?

She was born in England and raised in New York, that is why.

Well, since this movie is based on the famous ITALIAN book "The Decameron" I was wondering why everyone felt the need to speak with BRITISH accents to begin with, when American ones wouldn't have been any more out of place.

I did think the exact same thing though about her British accent when she made an incredibly unnecessary cameo appearance in "St. Trinian's". She also played a Brit in "Closing the Ring", but she had lots of nude scenes in that, so I frankly can't remember a damn thing about her accent. So, hey, maybe that's the ticket. . .
