I enjoyed this movie too. As did many others. I'm quite shocked at the rating.

I honestly thought it wasn't funny at all...Sure it had some actors a lot of people have heard of that have done some not so bad stuff, but it didn't help the movie

shareThere really is nothing more obnoxious than posts that read "You didn't understand it". Just because a person does not find a particular movie good doesn't mean they didn't understand it. It really is just arrogant, small minded, smug and pathetic when someone assumes another person is ignorant because they don't agree with their opinion. The poster above needs to get over him or herself.
People have differing ideas on what is funny and what is not, which I always thought was obvious. I guess I was wrong on the obvious part. I thought this movie not funny and just plain awful, however, this is just my humble opinion. I respect the fact that other people might disagree and I don't judge someone's intelligence, sense of humor or capacity to understand a film on what they enjoy or do not enjoy cinematically.
Lastly, I would think that even big fans of this film will admit that it is not a movie that requires alot of thinking, so there is not much to understand or misunderstand.
Can a movie get a rating lower than 1*? Otherwise I give it a 1*

shareOr actually he did understand it and has a sense of humor more advanced than a 10 yr old. I honestly don't know how anyone not in elementary school can actually think this movie was funny or good. What in this movie was actually funny other than the Carlos scene?

shareI did not like this movie (although I did find the Spanish ringer scenes to be quite funny) and I actually did think it was a bad movie, but that is my opinion. That was the point of my last post. I respect the fact that you did like the movie and did not think it was a bad movie. It would just be nice if people were a little more tolerant of people's opinions and respect the fact that not everyone is going to agree with one another on what is or what is not funny or what is or is not a good movie. Jeez!

Agreed, with what you say. Benchwarmers may not be the best film out there, but Alone in the Dark rates even worse!
Like many have argued, this film isn't all that bad, it has its funny moments and funny jokes. The cast were fantastic, especially Spade and the paperboy.

Well, this movie isn't for everyone. I guess it's too childish for most people over 30, lol. I like it a lot though, every character in it is frickin' awesome.

I'm 19 and I thought the movie was just way too dumb at times. I gave it a 4/10. It had some funny moments, mostly from David Spade, but it was mostly just dumb and not really funny.
