falls victim to teh tropes its trying to parody

For a movie that supposedly to be a parody and a critical view at your typical generic slasher plot it seem to have no qualms to turn into one in its second half.
The tonal shift from a black comedy to just another slasher movie also is something that you would think this movie would try to avoid.

But in the end its an interesting concept, of a movie crew fallowing a wanna be serial killer that fails in realization and comedy.

I think you're only about the 10,000th person to say that now, and just like all of them it apparently went right over your head that they did that on purpose. Did you not watch the whole documentary part? Did you not get they were explaining why victims act as stupid as they do, and why these things will play out as they do?

I don't think any of you quite caught the fact this was set in a place where Freddy, Jason, etc were real, it was not a spoof, it was sorta like Last Action Hero (which went right over many people's heads as well) where it was taking place in the movie, with all the silly movie rules.

Haha I can't believe so many people have that same complaint, when it's addressed in the movie itself. Do people seriously not pay attention to movies when they watch them?

reply

That was the whole point.
