wasn't there a level in this inspired by apocalypse now?

i recall reading somewhere that one map in battlefield: vietnam wasn't based on an actual historical battle like the rest of the maps, and was actually based on the helicopter attack scene in apocalypse now, but i don't remember anything like that (but then again, i only had the game for a couple of months before i lost the CDs, and then battlefield 2 came out so i decided to play that instead). does anyone who played this more than me remember what this map was?

Yes there was a map like it. I can't remember the name of the map but I remember how it was set up. The American forces started on a very small island with amphibious vehicles and some helicopters and other aircraft. The VC started on a much larger island that had two mountains on the north and south end of the island and a small village in between them that went up to the shore. The only vehicles the VC players got were some anti-air guns in the village and a tank or two. It was hands down my favorite map to play as a VC on, just because it recreated the mood so well as you could alwys hear the Americans coming in their helipcopters before you actually saw them. Was a little unsettling.
