It has been a while since I've seen this movie so I might be remembering this part wrong, but I remember Akeelah's mother saying they had six tickets for the final bee. I could only count 5 people.
1. Akeelah
2. Akeelah's mother
3. Dr. Larabee
4. Akeelah's brother
5. Akeelah's friend
Where is the 6th ticket?

Possibly the school head teacher as well though you would have thought he would have bought his own ticket.
