It is a completely amazing film, ignore the review on the main IMDb page as I am sure they either saw a completely different film or perhaps they fell for one of Alan Abel's ontological grenades (or "prank" to use a colloquial term) and it is a simple case of sour grapes.

One of the strengths of the documentary is the fact that it was done by his daughter as it gives a depth of insight that most documentary film makers would miss, there is such a warmth to how this film feels.

That is not to say, it is somehow "subjective" or candid, if anything, you get to see Alan Abel, warts and all.

In a sane world, Alan (and his wonderful wife and prankster-enabler, Jeanne Abel) would be acknowledged as a philosopher cum guerilla ontologist, the way he exposes and plays with the boundaries of consensus reality is a joy to behold.

Utter life-affirming, slightly deranged and wonderfully uplifting as they say.

A must see.

And I haven't even been bribed with a DVD copy of his 1971 film "Is There Sex After Death"...yet ;)
