Brian is one resilient guy! Kenya actually rejected him three times:

(1) She ended their blind date early.
(2) Immediately after their first date and spending the night together, she said it was a mistake and that it'll never work.
(3) When Brian visits her two weeks after their fight about race at the supermarket, she turns down his plea to get back together, using her recent date with Mark as an excuse.

You gotta give the guy some credit. Most guys would have given up after #1 or #2.

Yes, the root cause of her choices was still intact. It wasn't until her father helped her to accept what she wanted, was she able to claim her happiness. And Brian made her tell him why she loved him before he reconciled. I go back and forth with this movie. Sometimes I rate it a 6, sometimes a 7.

Yes, I thought this was a bit unrealistic. Brian really liked to receive abuse it seems, since he kept coming back for more. I don't think most White guys would have been so resilient in real life.

Kenya/Sanaa is no where near ugly. Get your eyes checked. She had options and Brian knew it, that's why he kept at her.

he's used to it. while going door-to-door he probably gets rejected 9 out of 10 houses peddling his yard services.
