OBESITY SHOULD NOT BE CELEBRATED!

This whole "fat/curvy/voluptuous" empowerment thing needs to end. It is not okay to be 300lbs overweight.

reply

No it's not okay. But she's not celebrating it, she's just saying you don't have to hate yourself on your quest to be healthy.

Overweight people have a right to love themselves while they try to lose weight.

Yeah but I gotta agree with the OP. Overweight does not equal voluptuous or curvy. Just like skinny supermodels with big breast does not equal curvy

People have twisted the definition of the word "Curvy" to mean fat. Curvy used to mean hourglass figure- think Scarlett JOhannson. Now, it means overweight or obese- think Mo'Nique.

reply

they're curvy and happen to be thin with big boobs, yes, they are curvy... Rosie Huntington Whiteley, Stephanie Seymour, Brooklyn Decker, Marisa Miller, Karolina Kurkova, got all those things.

But I agree that having big boobs doesnt AUTOMATICALLY make you curvy, like everyone confuses Katy Perry, Kat Dennings and Jessica Simmpson with.

Bone, it is what it is.

Some people don't like certain terms. I like "thick" though, but that's just me.

Tyra's in the latter category. She has a stick thin neck, arms, and legs, but (say it altogether, class!) BIG OLE BOOTY AND BIG OLE BOOBIES!

I think people need to get over the whole stigma of what "the perfect look" is. As long as someone is HEALTHY (which granted, probably is NOT 300 lbs overweight), then as long as they are happy with themselves, it's fine.

Exactly.

People should be worried about their health than their dress size. Being a stick figure doesn't equate to being healthy, same goes for the "voluptuous" women argument.

I get it up, I get it up in the dark, I make her feel I'm not a holy man

reply

Why do people ALWAYS bring up anorexics ("stick figures")? NO ONE is talking about them. NO ONE ever advocates them. They treat them like the scum of the earth. Seriously, get over it.

reply

being cruel should not be celebrated.

reply

I totally agree with the TS.

Thank you, that's a perfect assessment.

Also, it's mostly women who get judged by their weight, almost never men. Like, it's okay for a man to be overweight, but people act like women being overweight is intolerable. Really, neither is healthy, but I just hate the double standard.

The more people I meet, the more I get why Jane Goodall spends all of her time with chimps.....
