Laurence should have stuck with the black and shoulders

and she probably would have given Erin a run for her money.

Kind of like what Sean Kelly did with the fringe dress. Nina discouraged him from doing it. Not only did he do it, his entire collection was fringe!

The other two, Rik and Ruberi don't have an identifiable style throughout the season. I agree with Nina, I still don't know who Rik is as a designer. And that also applies to Ruberi.

This is why Erin won.

Rik has no identifiable style, and Ruberi shouldn't even be in the finale IMO.

It was always going to be between Laurence and Erin, but Laurence choked I think.

Exactly.
I knew Laurence had it in the bag -- until part I of the finale. Brocade? Really?
I didn't think the judges would take Erin seriously. Roberi should have won.

Exactly. They kind of discouraged her from doing her style a couple of episodes before the finale, but they didn't have a problem with Erin doing what she's been doing from the beginning.

A terrible double standard by the judges really threw Lawrence off her game! There's just no consistency with these people! It used to be a change of heart from season to season; now it's more like challenge to challenge!  

Agree. When they showed some of her dresses from the season-- even the black dress that Nina critiqued as being "safe" for her" -- I saw so much more creativity than in the final collection.

I could say that for all of them really, but especially Laurence.

The judges critique calling her strong shoulders and black garments as being a "gimmick" threw her off.

She didn't recover after that.

When Tim went to visit her and I saw her collection especially that jacket with the belly exposed, I was like they got in her head. That piece she made that they criticized her for being gimmicky was one of the most beautiful PR garments I've ever seen and I've seen every episode of every season except for the LA season. Laurence should've won. No doubt about it. Erin was the weakest of the four. This might be my last season of this show

It was indeed stunning! It seems that they do this time and again to the biggest threat so their favorite designer wins.
