Who today would make the best Elvis?

I bought this movie along with about 120 others at a Hollywood Video closing down sale. I haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

First question.... one board said it was like Walk the Line, which is a film I love, is it like Walk the Line?

And my other question is who do you all think would play the best Elvis if they were to make a feature film this year or next?

I'm gonna say Johnny Depp would do a good job cause when doesn't he.

What do u think?

reply

Uhm, Jonathan Rhys Meyers?

It is a diffucult question to ask, and even more difficult to answer. Who COULD play the King Of Rock and Roll? I think the answer is the whoever you get to play him there will always be people who disagree I've met some people who refuse to watch the Kurt Russell Elvis movie becvause it is not Elvis himself. Though Kurt Russell ha actually met the Real Elvis (he's the kid who kicked him in It Happened SAt The Worlds Fair"

NOT Johnny Depp. I like Depp, he's a great actor... but not for Elvis. No way.

I think that Nathan Fillion could get the job done.

I wouldn't have said this a couple of years ago but now I think that Nathan is the right frame, has the cheeky persona and the charisma of the King

I watched this today for the first time and wondered if, with the correct makeup, if Zachary Levi could pull it off.

Cody Slaughter. He plays Elvis in the Broadway show Million Dollar Quartet. He won best tributeartist and is eendorsed by Graceland. By far the closest thing the King today. Check him out. I met him, and extremely nice guy.

I would have to agree with you about Cody Slaughter. Freaking dead ringer for Elvis
