Why the name change?

It's now called 'Cooks Country' - but, it's the same people and the host even wears an 'American's Test Kitchen' apron!

Cook's Country is just America's Test Kitchen for snobs. It's Christopher Kimball and company putting on airs. Cook's Country is proof that sometimes even nice people get big heads. Now all Kimball need is Martha Stewart to produce the show. LOL

I love America's Test Kitchen. I like Cook's Country but sometimes I have to hold my nose when I watch it.

Is it really? They don't seem all that snobby.

I couldn't agree more. ATK is one of the finest cooking shows out there. With that being said, CC tends to get almost borderline preachy about what can only be vaguely described as home cookin' meets Martha's Vineyard.

America's Test Kitchen is easily my favorite cooking show. Cook's Country is a screwed up version with a snobish attitude added. The two shows are essentially the same and yet America's Test Kitchen is better. Cook's Country is just plain silly - with a goofy set and goofy music. Yuck! They started with a great show and did NOT make it better.

Snobbery IS Cook's Country. "We're in the country. Sitting on a rocking chair. We're better than you." Gimme a break! That might not be how the show was envisioned but it is how it comes across.

They are basically the same show. I agree ATK is much better! They need to just make both show 1 hour of ATK.
