the gun episode drove me up the wall

I'm so tired of lefties placing the blame of gun deaths on Guns, so we blame GM and FORD because so many drunk drivers use them to maim and kill on the road? Do we blame ladder companies because every year so many Americans fall off them and get injured?

And they brought in these mother who lost their children with these SOB stories, WHY blame the GUN, why not focus your attention at the criminals and stopping CRIME in AMERICA?

Why do we continue to let the LEFTIST media push their anti gun agenda? WHY CAN'T people advocate an ANTI CRIME AGENDA?

The same reason you don't listen to anything anyone on the entire episode said. NO ONE, one more time, NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON, was presented as being against "guns" you pleb. The criticism was "I do not like guns and don't understand why people need them, BUT if they need to have them the gun control laws need to be stricter so that senseless gun violence is lessened". Is it THAT effing hard to understand? At least argue a point that has something to do with what was being talked about.

Nobody was against guns? The woman's entire reason for being on the show was that she was against guns and thought nobody should have them except the police and military. She only changed her views at the end to say she supported civilian gun ownership but wished for tougher restrictions to keep them out of the hands of criminals.

you just contradicted yourself. if she's completely against guns, she wouldn't even want the military or the police to have them. she obviously sees a purpose and just disagrees on who should have access to them, which i think is a very reasonable discussion to have.
I believe as a liberal that guns should be able to be traced back to those responsible for providing the guns to whomever person shouldn't have a gun. I don't think only police officer's buddies should be able to have access to conceal permits. I think we should have laws that are fair and reasonable to everyone so that people can protect themselves. I understand though if a traumatic incident make someone just not want anybody to be able to sell their gun to whoever they want, or show their gunoff at denny's. I think we must respect that grief and trauma because it's real and it's not something people experience in countries that have stricter gun control. there has to be a middle ground where people who want to shoot a gun can be properly trained and feel safe, while other people who don't want to carry a gun or be around gun toting strangers can also feel safe. but we have to actually have a discussion and I think the media can help facilitate a discussion. but too often its two polarizing views that are completely ridiculous that most people don't even agree with.

It is a strange argument to me. Pia (Kia?)'s hesitancy was based off of the fact that people in her neighborhood and her therapist were killed by guns. But that person could have just as easily stabbed her therapist to death, or beaten her to death with a lamp or something.

Should we have restrictions and a series of clearances? For sure. But this chick seemed hard-set on the idea that "guns are evil", which is a silly argument.
