Trailer Music
Does anyone know the music from the trailer?
shareyeah, me too, i want to know plz
shareThe song on the trailer is la Folia. I believe it was composed by Corelli.
Emilie Autumn has done a brilliantly recorded version. It's the first song on her Laced/Unlaced album. You can find it on ITunes.
Corelli did compose a version of la folia, and the one in the trailer could very well be by him. However, the Folia theme has been in Western music for 500 years. It originated as a Portuguese peasant dance and weaved its way into the instrumental and vocal repetoire of the 17th and 18th centuries. Since then, over 150 composers have used the Folia - from Lully and Vivaldi to Rachmaninov.
shareIt is very much La Folia but if I'm not mistaken it is the one by Marin Marais and not the Corelli composition. This piece is actually one of my favourites.
shareThe other posters are correct: It's La Follia.
The recording comes from "Altre Follie 1500-1700" by Hespèrion XXI & Jordi Savall; the CD is a collection of variations on La Follia.

I don't know about the first music, but later it mixed with Lacrimosa by Mozart.
