glorifying sick 'love'

That anyone thinks this is actually love is disheartening. Any man who is attracted to such a wounded woman is himself damaged, and there is nothing beautiful about this kind of longstanding bond. I believe that movies that glorify such attachments are akin to those that glorify war.

I agree, and also disagree.

First, I agree this is sick. Sick in the sense that it's dysfunctional and unhealthy. But what I disagree about is that this film does not glorify relationships such as this.

Second, things like this happen in real life. It happen to me, and very well might STILL be happening to me. Look, people are broken, people are just trying to get by with whatever means they can. Not all relationships are perfect, honest or even based on love. Humans can create very sick and twisted things, this film displays one of them. Now, just because broken relaionshsips exist, and this film shows one, doesn't glorify anything. It just points it out.
