Why???

Why didn't Ryno just marry Vellini?? I mean, she left her husband for him, they were together for 10 years, and they had/lost a child together, they also, obviously, loved sex together and enjoyed each others company. So what that sometimes they didn't really get along well, no relationship is perfect. They loved each other enough to break the hearts of people who they claimed to love. Ryno may have loved Hermangarde, but it wasn't with the same passion and intensity that he loved Vellini. Even though Ryno and Vellini loved each other, at the same time, I don't think they knew how to love each other...if that makes sense. It's sad that they had to hurt both Hermangarde and the unborn child in their "finding" their way back to each other.
