I was collecting life upgrade 9 and when it came time back to the central hall I jumped on the pole instead of the curtain. I forget how I ended up here but I'm at the place where you save the lady in red. I can't go back because it is not possible. So I'm forced to go through all the obstacles that you do after the fight. Once I get passed them the only way to go is through a time portal. Anybody have any ideas on what I should do?

I was stuck on that part today. You have to go through the time portal into the present. It's a different path from the past. It's a very very long way unfortunately, but it's the only way.
It is better to keep your mouth shut and look stupid, than to open it and remove all doubt.
But when I get to the room that you have to go through there, the one with a lot of swinging and the boards to get across. The only place I would think I could get out of is blocked.

Wait. If you nearly completed the game and went back to collect life upgrade 9, then you're *beep* That what happened to me. All I needed to do was meet with Kaileena and fight her for the second time, but I decided to go back and collect life ugrade 9. Unfortunately for me, there was no way back. Once I got there, I went the wrong way and ended up getting stuck. I'm not sure if it's the same place you're talking about but I'm supposed to jump to a broken wall where earlier in the game the Dahaka shows up but doesn't see me because I'm hiding beneath him. The wall is still there and nothing has changed, except that for some reason when I jump onto that wall, the Prince doesn't grab onto the ledge. He just falls down like it's a normal wall.
Lucky for me though, I had a saved game so I just loaded that one up.
What I'm having trouble though is collecting the life upgrade from the clockroom. It's the part where there is a giant throwing exploding beasts at you and you have to get him to blow up some wall on your left. Unfortunately for me, I've already defeated him and I don't know how to get back to that room, and once I do reach it I don't know if my sword will be able to break the wall.
Any ideas? I'm in the central hall, where you have to rotate that thing inthe middle. I've collected all the other 8 life upgrades. I just need this last one.

I guess I am then. I don't know if your sword will break the wall. It's probably is programmed to break only by the monster, I could be wrong though. Good luck anyway.

i guess i took a month and a half to reply but i do hope my input will help.
as for the 9th life upgrade: it's true you cannot go through the wall that the dahaka broke but you can follow the exact opposite way that got you there the first time around. Remember the piece of rock where you hid behind when the dahaka broke that wall? Well, climb on that piece, wall climb, jump back and forth and then you will get to a room with a wall switch and a door. go through there and after that you are free to go to the throne room.
also about the door that was supposed to brake by the giant, yes it can brake with a sword that is able to break walls, i have done so. every wall that breaks with beasts, can later on be broken with a sword
