was there really a sex scene?

is it implied or they showed something?? damn the movie looked like a perfect family movie.......

reply

they actually show it. It's not the kind of movie I'd consider a family movie. (

*spoilers*

lolita gets called a whore a couple times, so this isn't the kind of movie you'd want people under 13 to watch. But it's a good movie!

how low is my self esteem that I'm the sidekick in my own fantasy?

reply

Two of the scenes are quite explicit and are too raunchy for family viewing. Whilst the scenes were appropriate to the story they could have been toned down and they still would have told the story equally well.

I used to enjoy Hindi films because unlike western films sex was implied. It’s unfortunate that we are loosing that subtlety in films now-a-days. After all we don’t need a scene bordering on porn to say that the characters have had sex.

"...bordering on porn ..."

No exaggeration, please!!!

EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS A SEX SCENE IT WASN'T TOO RAUNCHY.

i honestly think this was the first time i have seen a sex scene in any movie where i felt the movie would have been a little less if it was omitted. they might have been able to tone it down or cut the length but i felt it was necessary

"I don't see the point in living if I can't be beautiful." Howl

reply

There was really nothing wrong with the scene.

reply

I agree :D

The first sex scene in this movie was beautiful, sweet and romantic. It was necessary to the film. The second sex scene with Lolitha and Girish is also necessary as it showed how Shekhar was haunted by Lolitha and how much he loves and desires her.
I did not think any of the scenes were raunchy but detrimental to the film.
I loved this movie and not for those scenes but for the the wonderful story. Saif Ali Khan and Vidya did justice to the characters and made this story so real you want to believe it.

I was just about to say the same thing as you did, amana1997. I thought the sex scenes were crucial to the movie. The scene with Shekhar and Lolita was important because the night they did it was auspcious, remember? By putting the chain around Shekhar's neck, Lolita married him. And Shekhar did the same to Lolita. By having sex that same night, they consummated their 'marriage.' In doing so, I believe they made it legal. As amana1997 said, the scene with Lolita and Girish was crucial because it showed how Shekhar was affected to even think of Lolita with another man.

Just my two cents. :)

I can only hope and wish that Bollywood would produce more films like this and not cheap crap.

reply

I completely agree... " I thought the sex scenes were crucial to the movie." I love the movie, yes scenes included. If it wasn't in, it would be a different movie.

reply

it was a love making scene not sex scene.it was between two poeple who love each other in every way.
