parineeta should have gone to oscars
i can't believe they took that stupid movie paheli! kya bhagwas hai!! Black, or Parineeta would have been the best choice.
shareyaah parineeta was the Best film of 2005 ,when u watch parineeta u feel that this film is a real bollywood film , not that Hollywood crap (Black)!!
shareyeah i agree! i guess in order for an indian movie to go into the oscars ,its gotta have indian culture n stuff in it, so that it doesnt just blend in with all the hollywood movies, which black completely lacked. Plus the script of black was not original, it was taken from a 1960s english movie called 'The Miracle Worker', even some of the scenes were exact copy from the movie. Anyhow, Parineeta should have definitely gone to the oscars.
shareDude, have you even seen 'The Miracle Worker'. Try to watch it again, and then watch Black.
Having said that, I personally think Paheli wasn't a bad choice for the Oscars. It was a great movie. People just didn't get the subtlety of the nukkad in it.
Having said that as well, the Oscars are scum anyway. Why do we always need their validation to prove we have a movie which is better than 50% of the bull that they churn out? Just because it's more international and sophisticated doesn't mean its better.
