Jeff Daniels and Ryan Reynolds

I just saw an interview recently with Jeff Daniels in regards to his new show The Newsroom (the link is below) and they asked him about inferring his wanting to retire before getting the role. He acknowledged this, and as a reason made the statement- I am paraphrasing..."I was tired of working with 28 year old's making 10 million dollars a picture, and are missing their mark." I wonder if this comment was about Reynolds. It seems like the most recent, if any, of the movies Daniels has made that would have an actor which would fit this description.

Interesting idea, but Reynolds is and was way older than 28...

"Your mother puts license plates in your underwear? How do you sit?!"

Emma Stone comes closer to that description, as Ryan Reynolds is in his 30s.
