Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, Its fine if you dont like "CGI-filled action hero movies"

My only advice would be, It seems your Dislike for movies like this has Lead you down a Delusional reality or fantasy world ....

because You seem to be waiting on something that Will never Happened...

Its not a trend...lol

Its not going to fade away...

Just find a way to accept this is how movies are made now, You dont have to watch or like them...But you cant live in a delusional reality and claim "One day they are going to fade away" because you dot like them...

Never going to happen. The way they do it and the genres it's applied to will change but the basic rhythm will be here for ever. Our AI overlords will still be using it to amuse us long after the singularity and the digitisation our decedents.

Couldn't agree more. Boring.
World class actors clearly talking to empty space.
Cringe worthy love story.
Cartoons fighting cartoons.
5/10

Until the masses stop getting dumber (Thanks, 'SMART' phones) it will only get worse.

CGI puppets jumping about smashing each other through walls implies ZERO peril. We feel nothing. ALL the fights could be exactly the same, and they are still just Pixar cartoons moving around on flat or 3D screen.

Now, put a HUMAN on some wires and fling them about in a dangerous fashion, THAT gives fellow humans connected feelings of possible danger. No one FEELS anything when the Cyote gets smashed by a boulder. No one.

I remember when saying, “dumber” was an incorrect way of speaking. Just saying.

While fully agree with what you are saying.... really... not adding ER on the end is a stupid part of our language here. :)

reply

The only thing dumber is all these lame arguments against CGI. Stupid hipster nostalgia.

reply

it's getting boring. it seems like before CGI was an option, they'd make a STORY that was interesting. now, they rely on it. I'm not being hipster, I'm pining the loss better stories.

if someone removed all the CGI shot in this, it would be a pretty dull story. sadly. they spend millions on CGI, shouldnt they also spend millions on the story quality?

reply

so, I'm trying to finally watch this.... yeah, pretty not good. I can only stomach it in parts so will take a day or two to finish. :D Just wanted to see what they did here.

I may go back and count the number of "pan down from the OOH WEEE cool shots of our CGI city" they did, because it feels like every time they cut to a new shot. Stupid.

What was that line "You're the most human person I ever met" and he's talked to her like 3 times? So much cliche it feels like a bad TV show.

reply

yeah gad! Glad I'll never have to waste time watching that again. ZERO replay interest. For what? A bunch of CGI city landscapes and a plot consisting of DONE cliches? Yeah, no thanks.
