Imdb has almost 3K votes for 7.6 rating (will go down). I looked at the most recent of 70+ reviews, ignoring the short (fake) ones. The longer real reviews were all positive and 7-10 rating.
That's good. Maybe this is one of those that the "serious" critics just didn't get.
