shareYeah because we all know American History X was the FIRST film (and story) of all time in which a protagonist attempts to set his life straight and save a relative/loved one/friend from repeating his mistakes. What a moron. This movie is actually more like South Central which came out LONG before American History X did. But I'm not dumb enough to even think South Central was the first of its kind.

shareI find the premise to be overdone and corny, if you must know. First of all, let me say that I find Terrence Howard to be a brilliant actor and have been a fan of his since Dead Presidents. BUT the idea of a man his age trying to play Ving Rhames young son was just silly. He has got to be in his mid to late thirties already and we are supposed to buy him as being in his early 20's? Hopefully this was the last half assed role that Terrence will ever have to accept.

I believe T.H.'s character was 32, Ving's character was sent to jail when his son was 12 and he served about 20 years, which is messed up when you think about the fact that he didn't do "that" particular crime he was sent to jail for

He did 20 because the cops that charged him were convicted of tampering with evidence. His lawyer even tells him 'youre getting out in months, not years now'. So his sentence was probably 35 or 30.
Anyweay who gets more that 20 years for armed roberry? JUST ANOTHER PLOT HOLE in this South Central ripoff.
