Mine would have to be when the know it all lady came into the er not feeling well....And she wanted the red carpet treatment..And they did test after test to find out what was wrong with her.....They finally figured out what was wrong...She had eaten some brownies that her grandson had made and come to find out he had laced them with POT.....LMAO...She was so mortified and embarassed.

It was funny to see that know it all woman high as a kite :O)

I also liked the episode where the doctor had the phobia of bugs.....That was a funny episode too.

The Australian with the golf club in his head. He and his golf partner kept fighting while he was in the hospital bed. What Aussie-holes!

Oh wait I may have another favorite but I'm not sure it's the same show. There was the one with the patient, 40ish, that came in complaining about severe abdominal pain. Patient is tall, large, has a deep voice, answers all their questions they run tests and still don't know what is wrong! They find out that "he" is actually a she and is having a baby right there! They just assumed this was a man because of the generic name and from observing the patient. Baby and mother were doing well and she hadn't gone through "the change" like she thought she did.

I liked the one where the little girl fell through some cacti and had thousands of tiny needles in her and the parents didn't want her put under and it would've taken way too long to pull all of them out anyway, so they had to get creative with hair wax to remove all of them :)
Then again, I like any episode with Dr. Armand Dorian in it! ;)

The girl and the cacti one made me sad. What kind of parent wouldn't want their child to be in the least amount of pain possible? It would have made it easier for everyone if the kid was simple given a sedative before they commenced.

Putting people under doesn't always end well. I understand their concern.

I would trust the doctor to know what would hurt the child less. Not all sedatives put the patients out - some just numb up the area that needs work. I'd hate my parents if they made sure I went through the most pain possible just because of stupidity. Want to bet either of them would have wanted to be put fully out if they had been in the kid's shoes?

Love this show and love most of the ones mentioned already.

Also stick in my mind:
Boy with strep who turns OCD and hops and sees laser beams
Dr. Jasper and Dr. Jasper treat same addict at two different hospitals
Oriental man buys male enhancement drug off street and injects (!) it
this was one of the first episodes I ever saw so it may have made more
of an impact because of that
it is same episode with ectopic pregnancy that er dr had a hard time
getting an ob to operate and the er dr who wore the expensive shoes
wife accidentally put hemeroid cream on husband's chest and nitro cream on
his butt! I think it was called "Code Brown"
man who kept saying "this is not my face!"

One thing I really life about this show is how it lets you see what the doctors, residents, med students think and how policies & proceedures work.

I also like Mystery Diagnosis (except for the random closeups of people's eyes that they spring on you), Dyagnosis Mystery, and Mystery ER.
