Life Isn't All Oh No Oh No

Again, it seems to me that the only way Asians can get on TV is by undermining their culture. The fact is "Life Isn't All Ha Ha Hee Hee" for any culture, but it seems Asians must be portayed to be struggling with horrific problems caused by their specific "backward" culture. Noone says the Asian culture is perfect but the truth is Asians have happily adapted into their culture for years. It would be nice for non-Asians to see Asian relationships (old and new) that are chosen because its both's preference. It would be even better if they are shown to be exciting (i.e. all the ways non-asian relationships are shown) and yet still in tune with their culture. I mean all you have to do is look out of the window and see the tightness of Asian couples. I mean only Bollywood shows true Asian love, which is one of the reasons why it is doing so well at the cinemas. These dramas are too sympathetic, melodramatic and negative if you ask me. Thats my take... peace.
