Question about Krypto

since he's Superman's Dog and from the same Planet as Superman, since when Does Krypto need to wear an air helmet in Space???? it makes no since that he has to I mean Superman can breath in outer space so can Krypto.

reply

The show is directed to kids, so they don't want any little children flying into outer space without the proper head gear.

That was stupid of me. I think the writers/animators didn't relize. I remember seeing one episode where he wasn't wearing a helmet, but in another he was. Just a mistake I guess. I wonder how a dog puts on a helmet anyway..

what kids today go into outer space???? WTF!!!!

A Rich Kid whos Daddy or Mommy is so Rich they pay the Russians to take them into outerspace and they chose not wear a helment since Kyrpto doesn't. lol I not sure sometimes I think Kid Friendly has killed Cartoons.

what you just said, is sooo stupid! what kids today are going to space????
thatwon't happen for like 30 or a 100 years.

I really hope you did not take me serious with my sarcastic post. I was just trying to make fun of Kid TV cartoons. As well as the Rich people who are paying to go into space.

reply

kids aren't stupid, I'm sure they get the idea that Krypto is an alien, and has superpowers so they would assume he can breath in outer space and see the example with the other Dogs.

On one episode of that Superman cartoon Kid's WB had a few years ago, Superman needed something or other to breathe in space. This was grossly inaccurate because, as you said, Superman can breathe in space just fine in the comics (and most other cartoon shows). In fact, the Superman on the Kid's WB show was very weak. I mean, he was affected by knock-out gas! I can only think of one time Superman was affected by gas in the comics, and that was a gas especially created by Lex Luthor (It was in the first issue in which Luthor appeared. Check out the Greatest Superman Stories Ever Told, or some similar book)! Anyway, you're right. Both Superman and Krypto can breathe fine in space, so it's a mistake to have either of them wear a space helmet or anything similar.

I think diet slurm was just poking fun at the people who are always saying, "This shouldn't be shown on TV because kids might see it!" I agree that some things shouldn't be shown on children's televsion, but I don't agree with the people who object to, say, nature shows showing lions killing antelopes. I mean, kids aren't going to go out, sneak up on some neighbor's pet, chase it down, kill it by biting it in the neck, and then eat it just because they saw the lions doing it.
