About Streaky...

Is Streaky suppose to be a pet counterpart to The Flash or Captain Marvel or what?

reply

From what I understand, Streaky isn't suppose to be a counterpart to The Flash or Captain Marvel at all. I turned on one episode where it was almost halfway over, and Streaky and Krypto were talking about something that copied Krypto's powers onto Streaky, and Krypto was lecturing Streaky on how he should use his new powers for good.

It was called The Streaky Story... Streaky got Kryptos powers.. He is also bent on making revenge on a bunch of Neighborhood dogs with his new powers. He almost gets them killed when he knocks down the support beams of the old building while scaring the dogs half to death. Krypto gets the dogs out and has to pull streaky out of a window frame...

Actually, in the comics of the 60's Streaky was Supergirl's pet. He came from Krypton like Krypto and had the same super powers. They don't seem to follow that in the cartoon though. I think they just make him an ordinary cat.

I like the new way that Streaky got his new powers... The dubling Ray copied all of Krypto's powers onto the cat... It seemed to make more sense that way...

No, that's the neighbour's cat.
In the comics, that was Supergirl's pet...
Incidentally, in the comics, Streaky got his power as a result of Supergirl's chemical engineering of an antidote to Green Kryptonite poisoning for her cousin Superman and herself, and Krypto, the Super Dog...
