That was the worst reaction to a winner in all 16 seasons ..ugh

Hopefully it was the bad editing but did anyone ever see such a lackluster overall crowd reaction for Ryan winning in all the 16 season celebrations

I understand Heather's mom being smug, but all the other brigade chefs looked angry that Ryan won and the crowd wasn't really feeling her victory

again, hopefully it was the crappy editing because Wendy looked bored at first and then all of sudden she is happy for Ryan towards the end

WTH lol

It's because she SUCKED, plain and simple. Why would Ramsey remind Heather just before the door-opening ritual that she's been the most consistent, the first to win the black jacket, and then fail her like that??? At least she was a good sport about losing, even though she shouldn't have lost in the first place.

Ramsey has officially lost his marbles this season.

If I remember most of the seasons correctly the winners are usually the least foul mouthed, classier of the two finalists. Did Ryan ever drop the F bomb? She controlled her cooks better, swapping the two cooks' stations when she saw a problem. Heather had to be told to swap by Ramsey.

Paulie was a total jerk. I hope his prospective bosses watch this before deciding to hire him. BTW, the restaurant where he is executive chef is basically a pizza and beer place. http://birraphilly.com/home.html

If you can't be a good example -- then you'll just have to be a horrible warning.

Winners the least foul mouthed..Classier of the two finalists?

Paul was a punk and when he showed up later in the other seasons he was still a prick..Will was more Classier IMO

reply

Because everyone knew who the winner was going to be six weeks ago.

I don't think either one of them were good enough to win. No one this season was. It's been the lamest season yet.

I think HK has finally run it's course. It's time to wrap it up.

I went back and re-watched it and the reaction seemed normal to me. If you thought it was a mild reaction to Ryan, it would have been way worse if it had been foul-mouthed Heather!

I thought Ryan was quite deserving and a worthy representative of Ramsay's restaurant.

reply

i agree, it was the usual reactions. I don't think Heather's mom was smug as she was disappointed. Heather's grandma looked like she knew Heather wasn't going to win.

I thought Heather was going to win from the way Ramsay was talking to her. But also felt that Heather needed some growing up to do. I think she lost it when she couldn't control her kitchen. Ryan cracked the whip more; and her menu looked more appetizin.

I was OK with either of them winning.

I think Paulie was happy. His obvious crush on Ryan reached new heights in the finale. But for the most part, nobody liked her. The whole red team was far too miserable for having simply lost.

"I said no camels, that's five camels, can't you count?"

Paulie did seem very happy for Ryan (clapping, congratulating her) but I doubt it was sincere. I think that once she was the winner, he immediately started buttering her up for a loan or a job. Luckily, Ryan's too smart for that (unlike Heather) which is why she won.

It also looked like once Heather lost, Andrew started feeling up one of the other girls. What a creepo. A fair weather creepo at that.
