i just want to say that i too watched Charlie Chalk when i was a little kid... my mum had some episodes on tape, and i think there were re-runs on tv.

just recently, while going through the tape collection, i found a tape with the cookery book episode...truly great stuff, which had me wishing that more episodes had been made.

i think it might be available on those online dvd purchase sites...maybe amazon...you could try ebay,,,someone might have one available...

A good place i always rely on to have obscure movies and tv shows is Borders... or any good little out of the way shops in the city, where they have many cult, indie, random, independant, obscure and totally bizzare items/ dvds/ books for sale...

reply

Hmmm I like the sounds of that.
I would be queen of the world if I owned a Charlie Chalk DVD I shall put my skates on and see what I can find
LOL
Seriously I'm 18 and so not joking

i'm 18 as well and still love watching charlie chalk... Got to love a great 80s show...i'm amazed my video of it still works...they've all been very scratchy and everything, but i can still watch charlie chalk without any problems at all...hehe

when did you first watch charlie chalk?

reply

Hmmm you wouldn't happen to be in my area for a Charlie CHalk party would you? LOL you're very very lucky to have videos of it, it's about the only tv show I love that I don't have on video :-(
I wouldn't have a clue when I first watched Charlie Chalk.... hmmm I remember singing the song when I was veeery little but I don't think the words were very comprehensible LOL

When were you first introduced to the wacky way of Chalking?

Does Sydney count as an area?

i was introduced to wacky charlie back when i was a little child back in year 1,or maybe even earlier.I rememeber watching many children's tv shows when i was young...and i'm sure that charlie chalk was one of them, because i can remember some of the other episodes that i haven't got on video...i just hope i still have some of those videos...i might have misplaced one or two... now begins the desperate search to find them...

wow....a charlie chalk party would be a very interesting experience... a real connoisseur's banquet

Sydney.... no not considering I live in Prague... nah I'm just kidding I'm actually in Melbourne so postage would be do-able LOL

I love that we're such a weird generation have you watched today's kids shows? They're awful!
And I did check out you tube and it was nostalgia central haha my childhood was so defined by TV
Good luck with your search for the videos I've been there before and was very disappointed that Mr Chalk didn't feature... what were my parents thinking?

And as for a party I'll spread the word haha having a WACKY WAY OF CHALKING IS A MUST FOR ENTRY!!!
