Why didn't they just created another time Lord???

Why didn't they just create a new female character that was also a timelord??? I mean we have Superman and Supergirl....

reply

Because it's not about creating new stories. It's about rewriting the classic ones.

I havent watched the show since early capaldi. Apparently I'm not missing much...😂

The 2017 Christmas special was the final Doctor Who episode I watched. As far as I'm concerned that was the end of Doctor Who's twelfth and final incarnation. It was bizarre how his body seemed to turn into a woman just before he fell to his final death. But anyway it brought to an end 54 years of Doctor Who.

😂...yeah...bizarre indeed...well it was a good long run. Everything has to run its course I suppose...

See I've seen a lot of people complaining about Jodie and Chinball and i'll admit series 11 wasn't that good, probably one of the worst. But I do think its worth watching - too many people just seem to decide things are bad and not give them a chance these days - you never know you might be surprised.

Because that would require an original creative idea.Much easier to just lazily steal the classics and switch the man out for a woman.

Personally I think they could have revisited Susan.Maybe off somewhere following in the footsteps of her renegade Timelord grandfather.Or I guess grandmother now.

Yeah that would have been a good idea. Too bad they had to all preachy....oh well...

Then there is the Doctors Daughter Jenny as well (made from a skin sample taken from the Doctor without his permission), I must admit that I did get a twinge excited with that photograph of Susan on the Doctor's desk in the university he was lecturing (2017's The Pilot).

Though with what was said in this seasons second part to the Doctor about the lies and etc., have to wonder now if Susan may yet pop-up again, as we have to remember there were references to Susan in the Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS (2013) episode as well.

If they could tie all this in with part two's revelations I'd be relatively happy.
