Sorry but the way they made the The Doctor and The Master women was wrong

has made the world feel wrong I wasn't against a woman being the doctor i was against sex change regenerations they could of kept the fans of classic who with a gender swap by way of dimensional anomalies or something where we meet an alternate Doctor that was always a woman every regeneration, and Peter Capaldi's Doctor Lost for a season or two to see how ratings would do with a female Doctor we already had a female Master named The Rani.

It's crap and I don't watch it anymore! Moffhack and Chinballs be damned!

reply

me too what I've seen, they really ruined Who

reply

No need to be sorry. They f-cked it up.

reply

They had a good evil female Timelord Rani they didn't need to make The Master a woman

reply

So true!

Doctor Who was more or less fucked up when Moffat came into the picture. One OK season, and then it just turned weird. Hated Clara, hated Bill, hated Missy... I mean, honestly!

reply

Agreed, I detest Moffhack!

reply

Agreed. Moffat is a guy who is great bringing ideas to a story already defined. His episodes in the Russel T Davis era were brilliant, but both the characters and the main plot-arcs were defined by Davis. The same can be said about the two first seasons of Sherlock, when he was following the original stories.

The moment he runs the main story, he screws it. It happened in Dr.Who, when he became showrunner, and it happened in Sherlock in season 3, once he decided to break away from the original Conan Doyle stories and to make his own.

I agree series 5 was the best and probably my favourite series of new who. Series 6 had some good ideas but I do feel he tried to do too much.

For me though i cant pin point when it went wrong probably because i find some good in all of them. I do think Moffat stayed too long and should have maybe left with Smith although then we wouldn't get heaven sent

Originally I also was like this but then got excited for what the show could do with the change. I just feel like we haven't got to know 13 yet, haven't had that moment where I go that's the doctor. The writing is definitely part of the issue but it might also sadly be Jodie. So far I have felt her channel Tennant and Smith but without adding her own characterisation.

What the upcoming series needs is a episode with just her to really get to know 13 without all her companions which for me is too many

reply

well we'll never get to know the 13th doctor since Jodie is just going to do pieces of other doctors and the face which i think is the a Tenth Doctor Impression

reply

See I cant make out I'd if my issue is her acting or the writting or possibly a mixture of both.

I thought the women who fell to earth was only saved by her the main plot itself felt like predator meets terminator. Theres been bits I have liked I just haven't had a moment where I've thought that is definitely the doctor.

Like I was looking forward to her realisation when she realised the DNA in resolution was that of the daleks. I'm not the biggest tenant fan but I love when he first heres Davros's voice in the stolen planet, a sudden look of fear but we didn't get that with resolution.

I do worry part of the issue is that there are too many companions so everything gets crammed in. I hope the next series has a companion free episode to see what we can get with just focusing on 13
