The ratings death spiral continues

Millions of viewers have tuned out from Doctor Who since the disastrous run of Jodie Whittaker started. The end result will be cancellation or an embarrassing back down from the BBC. Either is fine by me.

The thing is, it's not even her fault. I never wanted a female Doctor, but to be fair she's not bad in the part. It's the right on PC stories that's ruining it.
They should have stuck with Daleks and Cybermen, with a smattering of Ice Warriors and maybe a Silence in the Library type episode.

^This^

But she's also defending it. That makes her just as bad. Yes. She's in part to blame. This ultra far left horseshit is seeping into every thing we enjoy. And now there won't even be a christmas special. That's just blasphemy. And all to keep the doctor as anti christian as possible. Got to pander to everyone else now.

reply

Wasn't aware that she was defending it tbh.
But the no-Christmas special being anti christian bit wouldn't surprise me at all.

"This ultra far left horseshit"
You mean far left like the National Socialists of the 30s? They wernt very good at diversity

Get woke, go broke.

That's the best thing I heard this year.

No statement has ever been more true...

TV has a sort of production bible. We're not exactly pulling this out of our asses. We've been doing this a while.

reply

Fake news! Ep 5 still better than last year.

Who's talking about last year? The article charts the downward slide of the disastrous 11th Season of Doctor Who.

reply

You're the idiot talking about cancellation. Ep 1 is an anomaly, like Xmas specials. This season beats every other in views!

reply

Not just me talking about cancellation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YqzqjCZObZk&feature=youtu.be&fbclid=IwAR3WyLyeVMmYy61Cfbw6CbBuARR9SlVH_h175Shm0gESua6vAxZZB8Bli8I

I'm not as keen on this series but I've never got why people include links like this. Just because someone else shares the same opinion it doesn't make it any more right or wrong

reply

Demographic shares (18-49) are up on last year as well, was wondering if the move to Sunday Nights would put a dent in those compared to last year however it has not, well for the UK anyway. It has caused a slide here in Australia though as Sunday UK is Monday Aust time so it is now on Mondays at 6pm instead of Sundays at 7:30pm, only way around it unfortunately unless our ABC delayed it a week.

reply

To be honest ratings these days are getting less and less important as more and more people stop watching TV live

reply

If you're gonna crowbar social justice into it, then you better make sure the writing is great.

It hasn't been.
