Was good to see *spoiler* again

CLARA :)

I really liked her. Glad we got a look at the new Doctor too.
Looking forward to the next season.

I don't get the hate. I liked every new Doctor Who so far.
I'm sure they casted well - don't if mind male or female.

reply

Impossible to tell anything about the new Doctor, I liked her, I guess, based on the five seconds or so where we got to see her persona, before she started flailing around.

Which is pretty good for five seconds, I suspect we've got another good actor on the team.

I believe you mean Romana, not Ramona, and uh, no. We will all stand corrected if your theory holds. No need to keep saying it. Alas, Jody Whittaker doesn't look like Romana except having same hair and skin color.

reply

The "Romama Theory" will never hold.

The REAL Romana would have been able to find a new outfit between the time she regenerated and the first time she pushed a button on the console! No, it must be the Doctor in a new body.

Can't even counter with "But she wore the same damn white dress for a whole season" or anything?

You really don't have the brains for a career as a troll.

Hee hee.. love the outfit point, Otter!!

Hated seeing the new Doctor. I don't give a crap about the new Doctor, whatever. I just thought actually seeing the next Doctor undercut the message of the episode. It doesn't matter who the Doctor becomes, the Doctor chooses to keep going. Should have cut to credits while he was on fire.

I do believe we've always seen the new doctor at the point of regeneration, haven't we? It then acts as a teaser to following season/series.

reply

Yes part of the tradition. Exceptions were when 6 turns to 7 they didn't bring back Colin Baker for the regeneration scene (they put McCoy in a blonde wig). Then there was the missing 8 to 9 which we now know was because 8 became the War Doctor (which the inserted mini-episode teaser things covered that one) and the War Doctor to 9 was paused mid change since Eccleston wasn't involved with "Day of the Doctor".

I don't know what you are trying to achieve ... but your twist won't happen... we saw the change from Capaldi to Whittaker right in front of us. She is The Doctor. And I guess, it is a good thing.

Denial is only the first step of the mourning process. You will get over it soon ;)

In the Christmas special, Clara was upstaged by the WORST companion ever, "Bill", who got to mug the entire episode while Clara was given a "blink and you'll miss it" cameo. It was an utter slap in the face to the fans as Moffat's parting "farewell gift".

reply

Clara got her perfect goodbye - I was surprised to see her at all.

reply

Clara was great as a Dalek but an insufferable twat, as a companion.
