So where can I get a Mr. Huffle?

And was it real, or were the pitiful sound effects added in post production?

[Rats, there are production drawings for Mr. Huffle on the BBC web site, so I suspect it was a custom made prop rather than something you could buy if you only knew the real name.]

I've just re-watched it to make sure all my commercial edits were successful, and I'm more than ever certain that my favorite character in the show is Mr. Huffle :-).

I asked the good folks at http://www.rubbertoereplicas.com/ if they made Mr. Huffle and if I'd ever be able to get one, and I just got a reply saying they might consider it and to keep watching the web site.

So clearly, everyone who wants a Mr. Huffle needs to inundate their contact form with requests :-).
