How long until people start hating on Chibnall?

Second season? First season? First episode?...before the first episode? 😳

Prediction 1: Capaldi leaves before Chibnall starts, everyone blames Chibnall and calls him 'Chin-balls'

Prediction 2: Capaldi stays and people complain the show isn't evolving enough under Chibnall and call him 'Chin-balls'

Only one thing is certain. Dumbasses will say the same thing they always do; 'bring back tenant'. But look on the bright side, those dumbasses may be getting older. Some of them may have actually learned how to spell his name.

As always there will be peopel who hate him from the first episode.

But at the 3 year mark is when the majority opinion will change, if he's smart he won't overstay his welcome and move on then.

Well, unlike Moffat before he was show runner, Chibnall has not (in my opinion) written any impressive episodes for Doctor Who or Torchwood. But maybe he'll be a good showrunner, and maybe his stories will have improved.

I judge Doctor Who on what I see on screen, not on what went before or who somebody is (or isn't).

So this is permanence, love's shattered pride.

sad fact: people called him Chin-balls before he was even announced. To be fair his Silurian two parter (remember that? Me neither) was very ham-fisted.

But I think we've got a safe show-runner. mean have you seen Dinosaurs on a Spaceship?

We are talking about someone who wrote an episode in which a Cyber(wo)man was defeated by being covered in BBQ sauce and attacked by a pterodactyl.

I think the "just give him a chance" train left the station a while ago.

I'm guessing the hate will begin after the first trailer. Who fans are extremely critical of trailers!

I've no doubt that within 2 years of their departures, both Moffat and Capaldi will be sorely missed.

haha, I have a similar prediction as well. Personally I'm somewhat tired of Moff's Who and eager to see the next guy ( though I'm immensely grateful for Steven's imput overall )

yet I'm sure that in a few years the nostalgia will kick and make me look even fonder on his era.
I'm already somewhat experiencing this with 11's/Matt's tenure. I wasn't the biggest of Series 6-7 when I first saw it, yet now I love to rewatch these eps.
