Ending uncomprehensible. SPOILERS

I enjoyed this movie for the excellent atmospheric cinematography, costumes, decor and score. The acting wasn't too bad but the SM scenes did not come over realistic to me. It was all too "nice and sweet". The plot left me completely mystified.
Anyone out there who could explain it to me in more detail?. It was especially confusing to learn that 4708 was one and the same with Mdm Keiko as I understood from the newspaper clipping shown at the end of the movie.

By the way this movie received 4 nominations for the 24th Hong Kong Film Awards 2005 ie for Best New Performer (Teresa Cheung), Best Art Direction, Best Costume and Make-up Design and Best Original Score.

I think this is a great piece of art. Becos of its avante garde nature, I seriously think there is no necessity to make any sense out of the story. Logic becomes unimportant in this kinda genre. One simply enjoys the various scenes and happenings as separate entities whether or not there were any logical links because it is so subjective to interpretation that one need not interpret. And because the next scene is always unpredictable, the movie actually stops the brain from thinking, encouraging it to perceive instead.
The soundtrack, colors, direction, props were just great.

Like any art with depth, this is not a movie for the average person.

Tell me, what do you remember of this movie to this day?

I remember most the first instance of introduction of uemeki's home. The colors n soundtrack caught my attention.

I also remember the slow motion police man with his strange movements n motives. I have yet to understand what he was doing thru'out.

Bits of the suggestive erotism here n there were also remembered.
