Morissey song at the end?

Does anyone know where I can find the song that Morrissey sang at the end of the movie..the movie? I believe it is called "Let me get what I want", or "Please, Please, let me get what I want"

reply

That song (Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want) is on the Smiths record Hatful of Hollow. A great song and a great record.

reply

The songs is also on several Smiths "greatest hits" compilations.

FYI, Morrissey was the frontman for the Smiths before going solo.

reply

Yes, that is a Smiths song. However, you must look at the track listing for the Greatest Hits, because there are a few "hits" albums for the Smiths, and it isn't on all of them. For instance, "Singles" does not have that song.

reply

I should also add that the song is on "Louder Than Bombs". This is the one I'd suggest buying if you want the song. At 20+ tracks, it's the best bang for your buck and a great intro to the Smiths.

reply

I agree, Louder Than Bombs is great. Love that song.

reply

Louder Than Bombs is great... but so it Hatful of Hollow. And actually I consider Hatful of Hollow to be the best possible introduction to The Smiths, as it contains the most of the great songs from the first couple of years of their career.

reply

Its not on "Singles" because it was never released as a single.

I know "Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want" is on Disney's Sky High mp soundtrack, except it credits Elefant as the artist. I think the song is played on Ferris Beuller's Day Off, except without the words, when Ferris and his friends are at the art museum. I don't know about the soundtrack though.

Does anyone know about a New York Doll mp soundtrack? I think it would be an interesting soundtrack. I would guess that song would be on it, as well as a bunch of New York Dolls songs and a couple of Mormon Tabernacle Choir songs.

"Arthur Kane becoming a Mormon? It's like Donny Osmond becoming a New York Doll."

In Ferris Bueller's Day Off, it was a remake by an instrumental collective that, I think, was called The Dream Academy.

reply

It's also on the Pretty In Pink soundtrack.

reply

You are right--the Ferris Buller version is by The Dream Academy, but they were not soley an instrumental group. They had a couple of hits, most notably "Life In A Northern Town."

The song is also available on iTunes as part of a movie soundtrack.

The song is also included on the "Pretty in Pink" soundtrack - Great song and perfect in the movie. Loved this song growing up, but heard it in a new way at the end of this movie. Good Luck
