Worst title in the history of film?

It's definitely up there.
How many of you agree?

"Romancing the Stone" gets my vote for worst serious film title. "Surf Nazis Must Die" is also pretty bad.

reply

Not a bad title, just unmemorable. Then again, I haven't seen it yet.
Hell, I probably would have thought 'Star Wars' an unmemorable title...

Come on, everyone, see Happy-Go-Lucky

It's hard to google, that's for damn sure.

In Brazil it was translated as "a good man" '=)

I actually think its simplicity conveys a larger meaning.
I was first sceptical, but now think it is a great title.

The Seven Expressions of Moi.

I disagree...Good was a play before it was a film, as far as I understand. Can't change titles just because it is now a film too.

reply

if you see the movie, you'll understand why "Good" is the best title for this movie. But if we're talking about bad names, there was a romanian movie called "15". It's the worst thing possible, because you can't "google" anything about it.

It's probable that "Good" is a succinct movie title for the saying / expression / quote below;

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing’

What a pity that the author of the original play didn't anticipate the Internet and Google when he wrote the play in 1981...

reply

I found it to be an appropriate title. It was, after all, the story of men who believe themselves to be good yet find they are capable of inexplicable evil.

reply

I think the OP was just complaining that it made the film hard to search for on the Internet.

Clearly, zuider, you got the meaning.
