Geography question

OK, first, I wanna say that my family and I saw this movie and we love it,since
we have Guinea pigs of our own. That being said, I just want to say I'm puzzled about something that wouldn't bother anyone except other G-pig people: in the scene where Ben tells the team about their true origins, he tells Juarez he
rescued her from a tapas stand in the Pyrenees mountains.Here's the picky part;
the Pyrenees mountains are in France and Spain,and Guinea pigs originate in South America,where they are,indeed, a delicacy. Shouldn't Ben have said the tapas stand was in the Andes mountains in Peru instead? I can't figure that out. Anyone else bugged by this?
