my goodness...

This was probably one of the worst movies ive ever had the pleasure of viewing.
It was so mind numbingly boring, almost as horrible as that so called critically acclaimed movie lost in translation. can someone give me a brief outline of the plot? i was lost watching this, i was watching with my boyfriend and the only part of the movie we found funny was the hair washing conversation with her husband. Please, someone explain this movie to me.

totally agree with you, its the first jen aniston movie i think ive not liked, i watched this movie yesterday coz i was ill in bed with flu and even though i couldn't physically get out of bed and do anything i felt angry that i had wasted my time watching it! Your right there is just absolutly no plot to this movie at all.. there wasnt a middle and there was no end, it honestly just seemed to me liked they gave up 20 minutes into writing it and thought ahhh whatever! just rubbish!!

i actually don't mind this film, while its not my favouite, i do enjoy various parts of it.

What i basically understood from this film was that people with money arn't always happy people, who live happy lives and have happy marriages.

And money does not = happiness.

Plot = woman (Aniston) in a rut with her life, along with her friends, trying to get out.

It's character-driven. No explosions, sorry. I get that people can think this movie is dead boring 'cause of that.

Some of us like it because we might relate to it, or we just like watching every day people going along with their daily lives. We enjoy the characters. If another viewer doesn't then that's okay -- it's all about taste, you know? If you don't like the movie, it doesn't make it "teh worstest movie EVERRR!111!" It means you don't have the taste for it.

I don't want to sound like typical Angeleno, but this is a very Los Angeles movie. The portrayals of the characters were so realistic, especially the personal trainer. I found that fascinating.
