Yep, I like what she says about all the shampoos she used to own. Something like 'I thought if I changed my shampoo, it was a excuse to start over and my hair would be nice and I would be more pretty'. I'm paraphasing. But I love that. The whole store scene is great aswell.

I thought all the cast were brilliant but Frances McDormand definately owned this one.

I'm working my way into becoming this woman as well. I yell at people all of the time for cutting, not waiting their turn at stop signs and stealing parking spaces. I loved what she said to that mom at the 7-11. She made a very good point to her son about doing things that may not seem to matter, but collectively they make up a bunch of ugliness for the world. It is so true.

The line was "You blind fruit!"

No, it IS 'You're buying fruit.'

She was angry because the guy who cut her off was on his way to the farmer's market. He had no reason to be in such a rush.

I love the "you're buying fruit!" line!
Frances did own her character, but I do believe that all 4 women owned the movie. I am amazed at how good and natural they all were in the movie. I also must give kudos to the men of the movie, they supported those women's performances all the way and if it was up to me, I would've given them a SAG best ensemble award that year.

Some people really hate this movie, but I just love it and see it everytime it's on. It seems very true

the universe...is indifferent

Frances was my main reason for seeing this, and I wasn't disappointed. I really respect actresses who can take "ugly" roles. And wasn't her transformation at the end astonishing, when she finally washed her hair for the homeless benefit (I know: ALS)?

Woah yeah! Lucky kids, eh?

Frances McDormand is one great actress. From her Coen brothers' movies to everything else she has done, she can do funny better than almost anyone else.

After I watched her hands while she was telling off that couple who "cut in" line ahead of her, I was rolling on the floor.
