Honestly, I think the average user of IMDB is a douche bag. Isn't it obvious from the types of posts written on various movies? I never even bother looking at IMDB ratings. I always check Rotten Tomatoes, where true critics rate the films. Incidentally, this film received a 71% rating on that site, which accurately reflects the quality of this good movie.

reply

71% on RT is not high rating where most of the movies hover over 90%. It just indicates 71% critics gave positive reviews and 29% gave nagative reviews.

reply

71% is a reasonably high rating. I do NOT think that most films score over 90% on RT!

reply

In this movies year, 2006 - 54 movies are above 90% and rating of 100th movie is 82% so with 71% this movie will be around 150th rank in 2006 alone.

the trend is same for other years with 72 movies above 90% in 2007, 69 above 90% in 2008 and 53 in 2009. Am I missing something?

reply

Wait...out of how many total rated movies?

reply

It's way to short to get a really high rating imho.

reply

Wow indeed. I gave it an 8. Great cast, engaging script and terrific performances. Too bad this film isn't better known.

I agree. But clearly not too many others on this site do, which is a shame. Out of all of Aniston's movies, I thought this one was one of her lesser films for awhile, but now, it has become on my favorites of hers. It's just great. It deserves at the very least a 7.0.

I just gave it an 8. A good "small" movie.

I give it a 7.

It's a good movie, it touches on issues of class and status anxiety in a very realistic while most movies wouldn't even acknowledge it, but it's not a very pleasant movie, at all.

reply

5.9 is really low. I gave it a 7. I think it's my second favorite movie from director Nicole Holofcener after Enough Said.
