The film was ok but I just couldn't get over Jennifer Aniston's character. She was so badly miscast that it ruined the film for me. They needed someone like a Rosie O'Donnell to play that character instead of Jennifer Aniston.
I think she was perfect and this was her best performance. It is really the only one where she doesn't yield to that cheesy comedy. She should do more indie films. This was also shot during an emotional time of her life (break up with Brad Pitt) and that may have added to her character feeling low and isolated.
She's at least ten years younger than Frances McDormand. And also at least five years younger than the others, but it seemed to work for the most part. She played low income women in Office Space-as a casual restaurant waitress, and she was a discount store clerk in The Good Girl, so I thought the maid role was believable.
