The Duel *spoiler*

I know that you can't expect much from a direct-to-dvd sequal of the Pie-franchise. Band Camp isn't too bad. No use in getting too much worked up over this, but one thing really annoyed me watching this.

Elyse already knew that Stiffler could play the bagpipe.
It's this totally unlikly movie thing that a guy like Stiffler not ony know to play bagpipe, but is actually very good at it. Fine, I can live with that.
But a while after the Duel she talks about when he played with the band when they were younger.
During the Duel she's just as surpised when he comes out playing as the rest of them. How come this was a surprise to her too??
Stiffler actually have a useable music skill and she doesn't think about using that?
Maybe it's wrong to judge this too hard in a move like this, but come on! Tihs just was strange and stupid.

And to have Tim Stack in a movie like this and totally waste him... He's given nothing to do. The deleted scenes in the dvd suggests that they filmed alot more than was used in the move and most of his good stuff was probably left on the cutting room floor. Along with the best parts of Eugene Levy's stuff. I laughed much more of his deleted scenes than the ones left in the movie.

1) At the beginning, she says that he hasn't talked to her since the 8th grade. With time, she just grew over him. So of course she's not gonna remember that little detail.

2) Even if she did remember, she knows he's too much of a... well, STIFLER, to do something like that in public. If she looked as surprised as you say (I didn't notice), it was because she'd never think he'd do it.

3) She didn't want him around the band anyway because A) She hates him. B) She thinks he'd ruin everything. C) She thinks he can't learn how to march even if he tried.

Stifler made Elyse write in a number for his bagpipe when she directed the band in 8th grade. That ended with disaster when the older Stifler and his friends showed up. Of course Elyse remember that, it's not a little detail when you try to be serious about directing the band. Stifler seemd to have forgotten about that, but for him it was just another prank.

I agree that it's unlikely that Stifler would use his bagpipe skills in public, but they were desperate. Elyse would rather sit there and watch Stifler loose their points than beg him to play the bagpipe?
Both her and Stifler has very little love for Vandecamp and really want both the points and to get back at him.

My point was about The Duel. Elyse wanted nothing to do with Stifler, very understandable. But when he had to duel the very least to expect is that she would try to help saving her chance to win the contest.

I think one of the reasons why they liked each other was because they were equally proud and stubbern.
