Shouldn't he be arrested?

Shouldn't Stifler be arrested for filming people in the shower? I'm pretty sure that is against the law. And who would actually want to speak to him or be with him after he did that to him? I thought the movie was good until that happened and it ruined the rest of the film

There are two realities in effect here.

First, the movie was clearly over the top and should be taken as such.

In actuality, however, Stifler should be taken outside the city gates and stoned to death and his body thrown in the rubbish pit and burned.

I believe Elsye could have him taken to court for obvious privacy violations and he'd be convicted with or without that tape since there were witnesses. Next he'd face obvious jail time and probably a fine. They don't mess around with stuff like that. do you ever see those MNNBC stuff?

reply

Well, just because you do something illegal doesn't mean you're automatically going to jail.

Someone has to report it.

DUH.

No one pressed charges or brought it up to authorities, so this is correct. If the cops don't know about a crime, how would they arrest someone?

But the movie definitely glossed over a lot of other stuff that he did that should have gotten bigger punishments. Poisoning the band at graduation and later at the camp finals in particular.

I think that you should be arrested for stupidity.. Seriously guys, it's a FILM. It's is FICTION. It's rated only for mature audiences so no one actually believes that people were actually filmed without their consent. Wake up to yourselves for crying out loud.

If stupidity is an arrestable offense then your the one who should receive a life sentence. He was talking about the character within the film.

What I wondered is even if he was able to set up the video and sell it wouldn't someone in the film eventually find out? He'd face chargers of child pornography and filming nude people without their consent.

But like you guys said it's just a (kind of dumb) movie, so they really didn't care to make sense out of it.
