Wilton Dedge Paid $2 Million In 2005

I came to this board to see if there was an update about Wilton. When I didn't see anything, I did a search, and found this article stating he was awarded $2 Million for spending 22 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit. I'm happy to see he won that judgement. I also hope he's found peace, and happiness in his life. He seemed the saddest of all the guys on the documentary.

Good for him!!! He deserves it.
I hope the others will receive compensation as well. Money cannot make up for 10 or 20 years spent innocently in prison, but at least it helps establishing a normal life.
Also very important: their criminal records need to be erased, so that they can find employment and not only run into prejudice while looking for work.

Yeah he definitely looked shook up pretty bad, they took his smile

Not just the 22 years spent wrongfully convicted but 3 years where he was known to be innocent...and was still in jail!! He looked defeated. Bless him, I felt so bad for him.

Even if it means me taking a chubby, I will suck it up!
