twice there are missions where you have to flip a coin to decide which mission you go on. When ever i am at this point, i always get heads. is this because i always play very easy mode and its a dificulty thing? or is it the choices i made on the battle field affecting me?

It's the way you answer Chopper's questions in a previous mission. He asks you something about a song, and after you answer, his response tells you what the coin will be. I think one of his responses was "Yeah, 'Face of the Coin', I love that song.", hence, heads on your next flip.
