Hey all-

If anyone has any shots or videos of this show pls give us a link or try me at [email protected].

The only episode I remember was when one of those Chinese guys gets his hand cut off and replaced by a knife. Then later he's fighting the kids on train tracks, gets his knife stuck in a sleeper, and gets run over. Lol?

My sister and I used to be obsessed with this show when it was on. We were only talking about it the other night and have been trying to find a copy of the series, havent had any luck.
If anyone knows of a website where it talks about the show, maybe a script or even a download of the movies I would really like to know about it. Not sure where you guys are in the world, but Im in Australia, and it was on the ABC when we were maybe 10 or 11, so like, 10 years ago? Maybe more?

Email me at [email protected] if you have some ideas. Thanks.

Scary... that's the only episode I remember too... pretty memorable moment, I guess...

IIRC didn't he lose the hand after a horse stomped on it and it went gangrenous or something? I remember it was a weird way to lose the hand.

I hope so too. Well, Spellbinder got a DVD release recently, so it's still possible. One of my memories of the show was the theme song. Anyone have a recording of that at least? All I remember about it was that it was a nice song.

reply

i used to have episodes taped on video, but i either taped over them, or threw them out after we got our digital set top box and our dvd recorder.

When I was a little kid, I also used to watch this show...with my brothers :) This cartoon was quite amazing to me...

Here in Australia was the only place where it took off to some extent, I think.

I'm English. I remember watching this show when I was just a kid of about 4. I watched it from start to finish, along with The Bots Master. I'd love for both of these shows to be released on dvd.

It is such a relief that I am not the only one who was obsessed with this show! I used to tape and watch every single episode. I have saved the last two episodes and I still ove this show. Till this day, I still have a full episode list and still remember the whole show from start till end. Honestly, it was that great!
It has such a creative, adventurous and imaginative storyline and so captivating! It was so much fun to watch but you even managed to learn a few things about the world, cultures, etc. because there were so many different characters and plots.
This show originally aired on the ABC in 1995 at 5pm. It was later changedto 6pm because there were concerns it was too violent. Personally, I think the reality of the story and characters amde it so good. Despite the magic, it was almost like a real life adventure. The ABC repeated it immediately after their first screening but it hasn't been seen since.
I have been wanting to find a DVD, video, anything but to no avail. I gave IMDB all the info I had from the show to start a page and I'm still surprised that I'm not the only one looking at it.

I have a few eps on tape also
Im just thinking that maybe all ppl who have eps on video we could put em all together like you said u have the last to eps, I have like a middle and like the 4th.
Honestly If we all found a way to upload what we have on VHS to a computer we may be able to put it back together peice by peice, chances of a DVD release are very very low in my eyes.

reply

YES! It was changed to a later time slot, and they used to have warnings at the start of the show that it needed parental guidance, or that you needed to change the channel if there were small children watching because of the violent themes. Those warnings stuck in my mind more than the show itself, because I remember always having to have the TV switched off when the black warning screen came on. I remember crying and crying about it, chucking many a tantrum because it was my favourite show and I had been banned from watching it. Oh, how I wish I could finally see the rest of the series...

For those interested: the Twins of Destiny was created in 1991, and last showed in Australia in 1995.

However, in France, it has been repeated as recently as 2005 on NT1. It has normally always been showed on TF1's Dorothée Club until 2003.

Anyway, if it was repeated just last year, there still may be some hope it may be released on DVD or screened on TV.

Hi all. Avid fan here. My brother and I even refer to ourselves as the "twins of destiny" as we weren't born together but feel that we should have been. This was one of our favourite shows too. Aussies as well. Anyhow, for those searching, the theme song with a clip of the opening credits can be found at www.youtube.com and search 'twins of destiny'. It brings back so many memories! wish I could watch it all again.

Ave.

I'm another anvid fan that only remembered the plot vaguely, and not yet the name...

Geez, ten years ago? Boy, time sure fly. I am twenty now, and well I would like to get a hold of the series. [email protected] if you find any.

Haha, now I feel wonderful about just clicking on a random name, and striking upon gold!

omg yes! its taken me about 6 years to remember the name of this show - up until today, everytime i'd described it to someone (aka: a cartoon from when we were about 4, with an asian boy and a blond girl, and an oriental feel to it, and they were twins... but they weren't?....) everyone said you're a fool there's no such show you're making things up. UNTIL AT UNI TODAY WHEN I TRIED DESCRIBING IT TO SOMEONE AND SHE KNEW WHAT I WAS ON ABOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh the memories! i was in love with jules when i was little! best. show. ever!

reply

I remember Twins of Destiny from when I was a kid. It amazes me that they aired it at all because I remember it was quite dark and there was a warning before each episode. I don't think you could get away with that now. Kids are so coddled by their parents, they don't want them to have nightmares. Farthing Wood was another fairly dark cartoon aired at around the same time. Good stuff.
