Did Paulette and O-Han die in the storm that hit their lifeboat?

There was one episode where the twins finally leave France on the ship but escape on a lifeboat and get hit by a storm. I remember the twins wind up in Sicily and Martin in Greece, but what happens to Paulette and O-Han the garderner? Did they die in the storm?
