Looking for more good anime

Lately I've been searching high and low for a good anime to watch but Most of the series I've seen lately have only been so-so, and since Gungrave is one of my Favorite animes I figured here would be a good place to ask.

Here's a list of some of the animes I've already seen.

I loved:

GITS movies/SAC1&2,Gungrave, Berserk, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Full Metal Panic Fumoffu, Evangelion, Vampire Hunter D: bloodlust, Jin-roh, Monster, most Ghibli, all Satoshi Kon's works, FLCL, Mind Game, Cat Soup, Neo Tokyo.

I liked:

Samurai Champloo, Wolf's Rain, Now Then Here and There, Hellsing, GTO, Fighting Spirit, Death Note,

I didn't care for:

Escaflowne, Outlaw Star, Record of Loddoss war OVA, Last Exile, Lain, Gundam Seed, Texhnolyze, Crono Crusade, Rahxephon, X series, Scrapped Princess, Twelve Kingdoms, Mai HiME, Elfen Lied.

Anyway, I'd love to hear some suggestions. Thanks.

You ever try Blue Gender? I enjoyed that one alot, it's pretty much non-stop Sc-Fi action

Puni Puni Poemy is another good one if you liked Excel Saga, both of which are extremely funny

So you didnt like Elfen Lied or Lain? I thought they were both good

Try the following:-

Very under-rated but amazing Sci Fi
* Terra e
* Macross Plus (same guys who later did Cowboy Bebop)
* Seirei no Moribito/Guardian of the Sacred Spirit (same guys who did GITS)
* Shura No Toki/Age of Chaos (best martial arts I've seen)

More popular but equally amazing
* Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuiokuhen
* Eureka Seven
* Code Geass Season 1 and 2
* Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (same style as FLCL but much better)

Hi there, Im also looking for some anime. I need a little bit more help than the original poster. I have a very weak palette. I have been turned off by so many, I dont think by any means that they were "crap" they just didnt resonate with me.

Im not interested in big machine like robots or demon possession/manifestation. A human based character fighting the supernatural would be ok though.

I really liked Guin Saga, Trigun, Gungrave and.....azu manga diaoh.... i chuckled on how cheap it looked and how funny it was that they kept reusing the same animations over and over. Couldnt get enough of it.

I really liked the emotional depth that the first 3 in my list went into - i think thats the key for me - i tried watching princess mononoke twice and even though it was visually stunning i failed to understand what the hell was going on....it was too abstract.

I really would like a new anime to enjoy but, i feel hesistant. I have tried to enjoy so many, death note, gunslinger girl and a few others but i get turned off easily and just settle for rewatching oldboy over and over.

Dubbing isnt essential but would be preferable, in live action i wont watch anything that isnt subtitles. However with animation, you get a barrage of female characters that are sexually appealing with squeaky 12 year old voices that scare the s**t out of me.

thanks for any help.

I loved both Ghost in the Shell series, they have smart writing though some episodes do slow down the show a bit.

I thought Samurai 7 was pretty good, at least up until the last third part of the show.

And one of my favorites is Shigurui: Death Frenzy, but it's confusing, very violent and disturbing.
